专利说明:
Another object of the invention is to provide a stage which can be switched between expanded and non-expanded states by a simple manual shifting operation. These objects are achieved by a podium, a first part of which comprises a supporting bottom panel and a back panel rising from the bottom panel, and a second part comprising a top panel and a front panel hanging from the top panel, wherein a lower guide arm movably links the bottom panel to the front panel and a upper articulated arm movably links the back panel to the top panel, wherein each of the upper and lower articulated arms consists of an elongate member, the respective ends of which are rotatable, about pivot axes, connected to respective associated bottom, top, front and back panels, and wherein the axes of rotation extend in converging directions which intersect at a common point of intersection, beyond the back panel. In other words, the second part of the podium is movable in a spherical trajectory relative to the first part. By arranging a spherical link system, the risk of locking in the pivot joints is minimized and in addition a smooth movement and a natural manual handling is ensured. In the expanded state, the podium offers a width and a front signage surface that substantially corresponds to three times the width and signage surface of the podium in its unexpanded state. As a result of the different parts of the podium being connected by a spherical linkage system, the first and second parts will be separated laterally and stand angularly separated on an arc of a circle in the expanded state of the podium. This is a feature of the invention and enables a simplified manual maneuver involving a slight rotation of the user's body but which does not require any other change of body position. The arched front of the expanded podium also enhances the aesthetic appearance of the product and enhances the exposure of signage material applied to the front of the podium. In a preferred embodiment, said first and second parts of the podium have a respective side panel which connects to a longitudinal edge of the front panel and the back panel, respectively, whereby the first and second parts of the podium in the unexpanded state together form a closed cabinet. This design offers secure storage of presentation materials and other objects inside the podium. The basics of the presented solution can be applied in different embodiments of the invention. As an alternative to the above embodiment, in which bottom and back panels are connected to form a first part of the podium and top and front panels are connected to form the second part, the panels can be combined in another way. The assigned front and back determinations, as used herein, are, therefore, to be construed as merely indicative of a direction of consideration, and may be reversed without modifying the technical rule of action of the invention and without limiting it to the language used for the purpose of explaining the invention. With the above in mind, it is envisaged in a preferred embodiment that the lower guide arm links a lower corner of the front panel to the nearest front corner of the bottom panel, in the expanded position. In the same preferred embodiment, it is envisaged that the upper guide arm links an upper corner of the back panel to the nearest rear corner of the top panel, in the expanded position of the podium. A softly curved and highly aesthetic front surface for hanging signage material can be achieved if, according to a preferred embodiment, the front panel is formed concave-convex in horizontal cross-section. In other words, the front of the front panel is convex, while the back of the front panel is concave. The lower guide arm can advantageously be arcuate in accordance with the concave-convex cross-sectional shape of the front panel. In the unexpanded position, the lower guide arm is hidden inside the closed cabinet, accompanying a leading edge of the bottom panel. At the ends of the lower articulated arm, the lower articulated arm is angled and arranged for rotatable mounting of the lower articulated arm about the converging axes of rotation. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a longitudinal section of the upper guide arm protrudes outside the back panel, in the unexpanded position of the podium. The said longitudinal section of the upper guide arm follows with a smaller distance a rear edge of the top panel and in this way provides an accessible handle for transporting the closed cabinet. This double function can be achieved in that the upper guide arm has a handle portion which at each opposite end connects to a mounting bracket extending offset from the handle part, the mounting brackets being angled and arranged for rotatably mounting the upper guide arm about converging pivot axes. Among other advantageous embodiments which may be mentioned in connection with preferred embodiments are, for example: wheels for transport which are rotatably mounted in the bottom panel; gripping handles formed in the top panel to be used by a user when switching the podium between expanded and closed positions, as well as brackets mounted on the inside of the podium's first and / or second parts for hanging one or more inserts arranged for storing accessories, presentation materials, etc. 10 15 20 25 30 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which embodiments of the new podium are schematically illustrated. In the drawings: Figs. 1a-1e show in six snapshots the movement by which the unexpanded podium (Fig. 1a) is transferred to the fully expanded position (Fig. 11); Fig. 2 is an exploded three-dimensional view showing the individual elements of the podium according to the invention; Fig. 3 is a top view showing the podium in fully expanded position, and Fig. 4 is a side view and vertical cross-section through the podium in unexpanded position, showing in phantom dashed lines the peak of a pivotal movement between expanded and non-expanded position. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Fig. 1a shows the podium 1 in the unexpanded position, supporting with its bottom against a floor. In Fig. 1b, a part of the podium 1 is lifted and separated from another part which remains standing on the floor. In the rest of the description, this remaining part is called a first part 2, and the movable part is called a second part 3. In Fig. 1c, the second part 3 has been lifted further and separated from the first part 2, the movable part 3 approaching a peak in a pivoting movement controlled by upper and lower joints 4 and 5, respectively, which rotatably link the second part 3 to the first part 2 of the podium l. In Fig. 1d the pivoting movement has passed its highest point and the second part 3 lowers towards the floor. In Fig. 1c, the expansion is almost complete. In Fig. 1f, the fully expanded podium has been supplemented with an additional front cover plate, as well as a table top which has been applied to rest on the top of the expanded podium. The series of snapshots in Figs. 1a to 1f illustrate the transformation from a non-expanded format adapted for transport according to Fig. 1a, to the expanded format according to Fig. 1f which results in a significant increase in the width and the surface that can be used for signage purposes. When comparing Fig. 1a and Fig. 1f, it becomes apparent that the usable width and area of the expanded podium is more than twice as large and almost three times the width and area of the podium in the unstanded position. . The individual elements which are included in the construction of the new podium will now be explained with reference also to Figs. 2-4 of the drawings. The first stage part 2 comprises a supporting bottom panel 7, of which a rear edge is connected to the lower edge of a back panel 8 which rises from the bottom panel. The second stage part 3 comprises a top panel 9 of which a front edge is connected to the upper edge of a front panel 10 which hangs / hangs downwards from the top panel. The podium parts 2 and 3 comprise a respective side panel 11 or 12, which connects to the corresponding front or rear vertical edge of the front panel and the back panel, respectively. In the non-expanded position, the podium 1 thus assumes the shape of a closed cabinet. The first and second parts are movably linked by means of upper and lower conductor arms 4 and 5. As best shown in Figs. 1c to 1e, the upper and lower conductor arms at their respective ends are linked to the first and second parts of the podium. More specifically, the upper guide arm 4 links an upper corner 8 'of the back panel 8 to the nearest rear corners 9' of the top panel 9. Similarly, the lower guide arm 5 links a lower corner 10 'of the front panel 10 to the nearest front corners 7' of bottom panels 7. The upper and lower guide arms 4 and 5 are mounted at each end to pivot about a respective axis of rotation, whereby the guide arms are rotatably connected to the respective panel of the podium 1. The rotary connection between a guide arm and a podium panel can of course be realized in different ways. A pivot pin may, for example, be fixedly arranged at the end of an upper or lower articulated arm and received for rotation in a correspondingly shaped hole in the panel of the podium. Swivel pins may alternatively be mounted on the panels of the podium and in the panels positioned and directed to be received rotatably in corresponding holes formed in the ends of the upper and lower conductor arms. The articulation points between the upper and lower articulation arms and the respective part or panel of the podium are in each individual case designed in such a way that the upper and lower articulation arms are mounted to pivot about non-parallel axes of rotation. More specifically, the upper and lower guide arms are mounted to pivot about pivot axes which extend in converging directions intersecting at an imaginary common point of intersection IP, located at a distance beyond the back panel of the podium. Fig. 1e illustrates the extensions of the four axes of rotation in the form of four directions D1, D2, D3 and D4. The upper and lower guide arms 4 and 5 form in this way a linkage system with which the second part 3 of the podium is movable in a spherical path of movement relative to the first part 2. In the expanded position the second part 3 will be separated laterally and angularly separated from the first part 2 on an arc of a circle A whose center coincides with the point of intersection between the extended axes of rotation D1 to D4. Fig. 3 is a top view showing the podium in its expanded position, and also showing the converging pivot shafts D1 and D2 which rotatably connect the upper guide arm 4 to the parts of the podium. In Fig. 3, the pivot axes D3 and D4 of the lower guide arm 5 run vertically below the pivot axes D1, D2, and they are thus hidden in this view from above. Fig. 4 is a side view and a vertical cross-section through the podium and shows the orientation of the rotary axes D 1-D4 in a vertical plane. Only the pivot shafts D2 and D4 are visible in Fig. 4 because the pivot shafts D1 and D3 are cut away. However, these have the same inclination relative to the horizontal h as the visible pivot axes D2, D4 (ie in the non-expanded and fully expanded positions, respectively). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the axes of rotation D1 to D4 are oriented in such a way that the point of intersection between the axes of rotation is at a level higher above the floor than the upper part of the podium 1. As a result, the movable part 3 of the podium will move slightly inclined from the vertical in motion through the peak of the pivotal movement between the unexpanded and expanded positions. The inclined position at the highest point of the turning movement is illustrated by dashed lines in Fig. 4. This embodiment facilitates separation of the parts of the podium and offers expansion of the podium by means of a soft and ergonomic manual operation. It will be appreciated that the angular distances between the axes of rotation D1-D4 depend on the actual dimensions of the podium 1 and the desired arcuate shape of the podium in its expanded state. The following approximate values are, therefore, to be construed as merely exemplary, and are not to be construed as limiting the present invention. Thus, in a podium having a height of about 1000 mm, a width of about 600 mm and a depth dimension of about 400 mm, the intermediate angle α between the rotary axes D1 and D2 (as well as between the rotary axes D3 and D4) may amount to about 9-10 ° in horizontal view (see Fig. 3). This results in a corresponding angular distance between the first and second parts of the podium in the expanded state. In vertical view, see Fig. 4, the pivot axes D1 and D2 may be oriented at an inclined angle ß of about 1-2 ° relative to the horizontal h, from the point of intersection through the pivot points of the upper link arm 4. On the other hand, the pivot axes D3 and D4 may be oriented at an inclined angle γ of about 15-18 ° relative to the horizontal h, from the point of intersection through the articulation points of the lower limb 5. Given these conditions, the point of intersection IP will be located at a distance of about 3200-3500 mm behind the podium back panel 8. Manual separation of the two parts of the podium is facilitated by means of handles 13, 14 intended to be gripped by the user's hands and arranged in the top panel 9 of the movable part 3 of the podium (see Fig. 2). Transport of the podium 1 is facilitated by means of wheels 15 which are arranged in a bottom region of the podium. In the embodiment shown, wheel housings 16 are formed in the connection angle between the bottom panel and the back panel, in the two rear corners of the bottom panel 7. In addition, in order to facilitate transport, the upper guide arm 4 can be shaped to extend outside the back panel 8 in the unexpanded position of the podium. The upper guide arm 4 has a handle portion 17 which at its opposite ends carries a respective mounting bracket 18 and 19. The mounting brackets 18, 19 extend offset and at an angle from the ends of the handle portion, the mounting brackets being made with bores 20 for rotatably mounting the upper guide arm around pivot pins oriented along the converging pivot axes D1 and D2. In the expanded position, the rearwardly displaced handle portion 17 is received in a spoke 21 which is formed in the upper edge of the back panel 8. A recess 22 in the rear edge of the top panel 9 provides access to the handle portion 17 during transport. In the expanded position, the lower guide arm 5 is hidden inside the podium. In a preferred and appealing embodiment, the front panel 10 is arcuate with a concave-convex cross-sectional profile. The lower guide arm 5 and the leading edge of the bottom panel 7 are arcuately shaped correspondingly, so that the lower guide arm in the unexpanded position follows close to the inside of a curved rim 23 which rises from the leading edge of the bottom panel 7 (see Fig. 4). . This embodiment provides a supporting surface which is adapted for an aesthetic mounting of a poster or a front cover plate 24 (see Fig. 1f) which bridges at least the opening between the separated parts of the podium, and thus covers the open interior of the stationary part 2. the lower guide arm 5 has at each end a respective pivot bearing 25 and 26 for mounting the lower guide arm on pivot pins which are oriented along the converging pivot axes DS and D4. The lower guide arm 5 may advantageously be formed with a shoulder or groove 27 which forms a support for the lower edge of a poster or a front cover plate. The poster or front cover plate can be provided in the form of a blind which is stored in a front vertical post 28 included in the stationary part 2 of the podium. Parts 2 and 3 of the podium can be manufactured and assembled from molded plastic components, while the upper and lower conductor arms metal or composed of metal and synthetic materials. Seats or sockets designed for mounting pivot pins of metal may be integrally formed in the molded components, or be provided in the form of separate pivot bearing details which are mountable in the parts of the podium. The interiors of the first and / or second parts of the podium can be made with brackets for mounting inserts such as for organizing and storing presentation materials and personal belongings, as indicated in the drawings by means of an accessory tray 29. A table top 6 (see Fig. Li) can provided in the form of a lightweight plastic component that is foldable twice for storage inside the closed cabinet.
